Coach Marcelo holds a National D License and has implemented the PLAY – PRACTICE – PLAY or P-P-P approach for his practices. This approach is approved and encouraged by the Virginia Youth Soccer Associates (VYSA). Coach Marcelo has been coaching for over 12 years and has played soccer all his life. He believes in always developing the player’s game by teaching different techniques/strategies and creating an environment where you learn from your mistakes and become a better soccer player and person.

The team (coaches, players, and parents) has developed great chemistry and understand that the most important part of being part of Team Spirit is competing to the best of your abilities, practice hard, give 100% in games, and have fun while playing. Team Spirit has won several Sportsmanship awards.
